Time To Catch Up

Okay…I think that we are on the mend after, bronchliotis, pnemonia, a common cold, a minor flu bug, two very sore throats, a random stomach bug and a sinus infection…sigh… I am ready for spring to come and cold season to end.

Well since I haven’t updated since Valentine’s we are going to do  just that. Starting with Jairus.

I was so excited when our “round-a-round” came out of the attic the other week…This is the greatest invention, he totally love the new prespective on the world and is getting his neck stronger in the process. And yes he played that hard he fell asleep on night.

Next is Titus, poor kid is finally feeling better, does anyone know how hard it is to give a 17 month old a nebulizer treatment that lasts 20 minutes? Some nights it went well (see below) cause he fell asleep in the process

He’s also picked up some interesting habits when his bowl is empty after eating he’ll tilt it to his mouth and lick it out…*sigh*

Then there was Valentine’s Day, hubby and I went to an awesome chinese buffet, but before then he took me to the flower shop to pick out a flower. Here it is… A Cineraria…if anyone knows anything about caring for this I’d be much abliged…

Next, we were on the February activity committee for our Sunday School Class. We decided on a mismatched mystery supper… The menu they had to choose from included a motor, moosetracks, marbles, mush, mutton, and maggots with the untensils being a matchstick, mallet, or mixer…The real food was beef burgundy, peas and carrots, chicken corn soup, fruit salad, potato salad, and eclair desert. It was alot of fun watching people try to eat peas with a knife or soup with a fork…. All the plates, napkins, and cups were of various holidays, birthday, graduation, christmas, easter, valentines day, thanksgiving, etc….Our sunday school class got into the dress up part by wearing mismatched socks and shoes, odd color arrangements, the men with camo pants and dress shirts, etc… Here are some pictures….

Take note to the back drop in the last picture…Titus painted it just for this occasion, he had a blast getting cover from head to toe in poster paints….see for yourself…

Well, I think that has you all caught up since Valentines Day…Hope you all have an awesome God adventure filled week…

Well, I guess practice is paying off…just not quite how I pictured it. See we have been working on teaching Mr. Titus how to share all the while knowing this is a complex task for a 17 month old to grasp. Well, he’s caught on but in a different sense. It seems that what he is sharing isn’t anything like toys or food but the infamous “bug”. Sure enough it appears that the stain of flu that isn’t covered by the flu shot has struck our has and is being shared. So do to two boys with coughs and fevers and a momma working up to that stage all pictorial and otherwise amusing updates are put on hold until I can get some quiet time and feel better time for the family….Until then try to avois this kind of sharing in your home….

It has been a little while since I have shared the wonderful blessings of our precious gifts with you… So here are a few pictures of Mr. Titus… It is amazing how fast he is growing and how much I am finding that I am enjoying this stage of life…

Here’s our little butler… He walks around pretty often like this and it is terribly cute

Next is right after bathtime… wow, he is getting so big

We are enjoying the self disciplining stage…here he got into a box of tissues and knew he was in trouble and busted out crying, we comforted him and he helped return the dry tissues to the box…

This is Mr. Jairus…Time is flying, he is now 2 and half months old…. and changing all the time.

This is our little man starting to hold his head up :-0

And this is our little “gangsta” for all my family from Philly And Danigirl_416 could you show this to “Dad” and ask him what this does for his future IQ? (for those of you wondering we put this hat on him correctly after his bath, he fell asleep with it correct and woke up like this…we had no part in this finished product)

And lastly, we went to spend some time with Grandma the evening after the funeral…it was a wonderful blessing for us to just sit and enjoy her and we felt it was a blessing for her…she truly seemed to enjoy the children (as you can see)…she even got Jairus to sleep without a fight…we feel blessed that we can still make memories with Grandma…

God is so good to grant us the gift of memory…even if it fails us at times, the time it works are worth many smiles, laughs, tears, and awe…This is one gift from God I don’t think I will ever take for granted… Ponder that this week…we rely on memories for more then we think….I am so very grateful for a loving Father who knows exactly what we need

The Gift of a Godly Legacy

Well, it’s been a little while but the last week and a half have been busy, exhausting and tiring….

Lowell’s grandfather passed away on Saturday, in a manner fitting of a godly man, surrounded by his children and wife of 70 years. It is bittersweet. We know he is in the best place of all and look forward to our reunion. Please keep the Fahnestock family in your prayers as we adjust to life without Grandpa. Ecspecially for Grandma as she is now away from her beloved, even if it is for a little while. 🙂

Hope of heaven

(2 Cor 5:1-8 KJV) “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. {2} For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: {3} If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. {4} For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. {5} Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. {6} Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: {7} (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) {8} We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”
