The Gift of a Godly Legacy

Well, it’s been a little while but the last week and a half have been busy, exhausting and tiring….

Lowell’s grandfather passed away on Saturday, in a manner fitting of a godly man, surrounded by his children and wife of 70 years. It is bittersweet. We know he is in the best place of all and look forward to our reunion. Please keep the Fahnestock family in your prayers as we adjust to life without Grandpa. Ecspecially for Grandma as she is now away from her beloved, even if it is for a little while. 🙂

Hope of heaven

(2 Cor 5:1-8 KJV) “For we know that if our earthly house of this tabernacle were dissolved, we have a building of God, an house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. {2} For in this we groan, earnestly desiring to be clothed upon with our house which is from heaven: {3} If so be that being clothed we shall not be found naked. {4} For we that are in this tabernacle do groan, being burdened: not for that we would be unclothed, but clothed upon, that mortality might be swallowed up of life. {5} Now he that hath wrought us for the selfsame thing is God, who also hath given unto us the earnest of the Spirit. {6} Therefore we are always confident, knowing that, whilst we are at home in the body, we are absent from the Lord: {7} (For we walk by faith, not by sight:) {8} We are confident, I say, and willing rather to be absent from the body, and to be present with the Lord.”

Those verses do make it easier to say “see ya later” to grandparents.  I’ve had to do that to 3 of mine.  I miss them, but I know I will see them.  Thank God for hope!!!

May the Lord be with your family & your Grandma as you all adjust to life without your Grandpa. Your Grandma will be affected the most. How old was your Grandpa? Love & prayers

  3. Comforting to us all.  I love the picture of Titus on Grandpa’s lap. Blessings
