God Has A Plan
1 Corinthians 10:13 sates:
No testing has overtaken you that is not common to everyone. God is faithful, and He will not let you be tested beyond your strength, but with the testing He will also provide a way out so that you may be able to endure it.
How great is God’s plan for us! Never doubt trials or obstacles put before you by our wonderous Lord. He has everything laid out before it happens and He knows what’s going to happen after the fact. “God is our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble.” Psalms 46:1. No words can describe the true beauty and fullness revealed through seeing this first hand. If I am not being clear, let me explain what has lead me to such a conclusion and I pray that it touches you as much as having it happen touched me.
It was a typical Saturday, I woke up ran some errands and then went around looking for show cows at our different farms, After that, the afternoon was kind of lazy and relaxing. Lowell had called to ask me to send a message around the phone chain, that there was a party at his house that night.(Lowell and I were not dating at this time.) Tim had stopped by mid-afternoon to invite Kate, Andi, and myself to join him, Dan, Nate, and Jared for dinner at Cracker Barrel. I drove the girls over to Tim’s house where we met up with the boys. To my surprise the boys were planning on taking us on their motorcycles. Val had showed up and was apprehensive about coming because she had to be back at the church by 7:30 for a meeting. So Nate decided not to take his motorcycle so he could take Val home early. Dan drove by himself, Nate took Val and Kate, Andi rode with Jaref and I rode with Tim. It was such a beautiful afternoon to go riding. Now I understand why the girls get excited when the guys ask them to go out riding, this was my first ride longer then fifteen minutes.
Dinner was what you would expect when you eat out with a group of eight. The most significant conversation was the one that would decide who would give up their ride home so Kate could get a turn. As soon as they were done eating Nate and Val left so she would get to her meeting on time. Andi decided to let me go on a motorcycle ride home, she went with Dan in his truck I went to ask Kate if she wanted to ride with Tim and Andi told me she rode with him last time, so she went with Jared and I went with Tim again. It was turning into a wonderful night. As we were riding down route 283, Tim pointed off to the left for me to look at the awesome sunset ahead of us. At one point along the ride Tim had signaled to Dan and Jared to pull off the rode; he wanted to discuss the route we would take home. This never happend when we all pulled off the road though, Jared took off with us quickly behind. We finally went off the Salunga exit, meeting at the top of the ramp to discuss where we were going next. The boys shut the motorcycles off so they could hear each other. After discussing and deciding that time was planning to take Mt. Joy road back to his house, Dan took off onto Spooky Nook Road, then Jared, with us slowly following after Tim got his bike started.
At this point little did any of us know what God had planned for that evening. We knew what we had planned but “Man’s heart plans his way, but the Lord directs his steps.” Proverbs 16:9
