Rain, Rain !!!

It has been a very wet and dreary past two days here. Yesterday alone we got 2.8 inches of rain. Making for a grand total of 4.5 inches over 2 days. With all that moisture, it left the earth super saturated and overflowing.

These are pictures off of our porch. When the creek overflows it rarely floods below our garden (first picture) but with our neighbors property completely flooded it can’t help but to spill over to here.

These pictures were taken from an upstairs window. The first is our property and our neighbors. The second is across the street at the amish mans field. And the last is the bridge that is roughly at the bottom of our property. (i apologize for these pictures being grainy they were taken through a screen).

There is something amazing about water pooling up like this. There is so much power behind it, it leaves me awe-struck everytime I see it. And yes they did close the road and yes people still think they can get through. As I write though the waters are receeding, so…

Blessings on your weekend.

Hey it looks like Florida after a Hurricane!  LOL  We have had lots of rain and cold days this winter as well.  I must say I haven’t minded so much because it’s normally 80 outside at this time of year.  It has been so wonderful to have nice cool and sometimes even COLD days for the last 2 months.

And here we are with a whole of 3 degrees. There is something amazing about all that rain. Do you have a basement for it to get into?
