Christmas this year was a little different from what our plans had called for. With snow and ice in the forecast we headed to Philly on Christmas Eve instead of Christmas morning, meaning we ended up having our family Christmas at my parents house. Flexibilty is a trait to be cherished I guess.
As preparation was winding down, Charity enjoyed “helping” with wrapping th gifts.
Christmas Eve found us at the Hershey house, celebrating with all those that have been touched by this amazing family, which now totals 31 (give or take).
Mary helping Charity with her gifts
Kevin and Dani helping Jairus
And some of the “cousins” putting a puzzle together with Kevin and Dani
Our Christmas was held in my old bedroom at my parents house. This is usually where we crash when we stay there over night. The children each got to open their new pajama’s on Christmas Eve, so they looked spiffy for their Christmas morning pictures. It was neat to have a 7 month old for her first Christmas rather then the 3 month old Titus was or the 1 month old Jairus was, she really enjoyed some of the new things she got.
Stay tuned and I will show you how the rest of our Christmas morning (day) went and what we did with my hubby’s side of the family…
May we continue to keep Christmas in our hearts all year long; giving, loving, sharing, and worshipping as if it were Christ’s Birthday everyday!
Or should that be a month in the life of…
Sorry all faithful watchers of God’s Ducks. Since our computer got fixed from being bugged it is a pain in the neck to upload pictures. So now that I have them uploaded….
Here is a glimpse into our lives as of lately….
The boys have grown to love having towers be built for them and then coming and knocking them over. This is one of my masterpieces before destruction.
On a recent road trip the boys feel asleep in the car, when I looked back this is how Titus was.
While visiting with my parents, the boys found great joy in running matchbox cars down a ramp…
Also during that visit we celebrated my nephew turning 9 and while there Charity enjoyed meeting, Shane and Tank…
The boys enjoyed watching the first snowfall of the year and Charity got her traditional first snow picture taken as well… (ironic I am posting this as we are under warning of 6 plus inches this weekend).
We decorated for Christmas one night and the next morning I was in love with what the sun was doing with our decorations.
We enjoyed visiting with Great Grandma recently as well.
And with Christmas comes cookie making…It is fun and a pain to have the boys help
And this is what happens when mommy and daddy decorate cookies…
And next is a totally supervised helping situation gone array. We used this as a good teaching experience for the boys on what not to do and why.
Have a blessed Christmas! May we be Watching and Waiting as Simeon did those many years ago.
