A week leading to Goodbye

As many of you know, we sent Lowell’s parents off to Gernada on friday morning!

The week leading up to the send off was filled with tons of activities to make memories and enjoy some time together for a while!

Lowell’s parents took each child and their family out for a meal and a trip to the park. Our night we went to Hoss’s then to Lititz Springs Park where alot of fun was had!

We fed ducks….

Played and laughed…

The week leading up to our farewell, was spent with family, enjoying each others company and time!!!!

Playing games like turtle, bucket ball, tag, and drop the hankey!

And of course what is time together without cuddles!

On friday some of us joined his parents at the airport to send them off….

Of course what is a send off without some trouble? They needed to get 6 suitcases down to 4 because of the restrictions. So they rearranged, sent stuff back home, shuffled and prayed. And yes, it worked, all suitcases were within weight limit and ready to go!

We ended up bringing two suitcases home with us!

We sat for a while and just talked, then grandma and grandpa got on the phone with the 4 grandchildren that stayed home and each wished them a good bye and love!

We enjoyed spending sometime fellowshipping before the somewhat rough goodbyes were said!

They are now safely in their destination and getting adjusted!

Birthday Celebrations

As you all know by now my baby is a year old! We had several different celebrations for her! All included cake!

The first one was just our little gang of 5! Everyone had their own individual cake! That was about the extent of this celebration!

We also celebrated up at the cabin with my husbands family on our weekend away! See my previous post for that!

After that we finally found some time to have my family up to celebrate! And this is some of what we did!

Then unto the cake!

And there you have it! The fun of a birthday for a one year old! Playing and Cake!!!!!

Look for God in the little things this week and watch Him moving in the big things!

Family Vacation

Well, it is that time of year when families gather at a mountainous retreat for a weekend and allow the children to rip around and enjoy nature while the adults sit and talk. That’s exactly what the Ebersole’s did on Memorial Day weekend. With the exception of the fact that this will be our last family vacation with DH’s parents for 3 years. Yep, you read that right. If you didn’t know by now, DH’s parents (Nevin and Theda) are heading to Gernada for 3 years with OBMM. So we enjoy our weekend making lasting memories!

There was a lot of nature and beauty to take in up at the farm house!

For example, snappers, snapper eggs, gliders, dragon flies, flowers, mountains, deer, ducks, birds, etc.

There were a variety of activities for the children to do. Bubbles, Kick Ball, T-Ball, Biking, Running, coloring, etc.

There were things for the big kids as well, like horse shoes, driving the ranger, chasing children, riding bike, etc.

Then there was a birthday needing celebrating. Actually two! Rhoda turned ?? and Charity is 1!!

We also had a night at the park, where the young and old got to play and run their energy out!

And a very trying time to get a good grandkid photo! Minus the 4 Mongolian Ebersole Grandkids!

The children were then rewarded with ice cream at a place called the Frog Hut!

We also had a campfire one night, with roasted hot dogs, smores and a bag of “his”(??) chips! That’s right we were almost done our campfire when we realized the “Herrs” chip bag said “His” in honor of Father’s day! Pretty cool!

And after a long weekend this is how the children looked!
