Busy-ness

  Wow- the summer is winding down but not without a bunch of things to keep us busy!

A few weekends ago we did a homemade water world for the cousins! And ended the evening with a campfire and marshmallows!

Charity is now 3 months old and showing off some firsts!

We also enjoyed a visit from my brother and his family and their newest family member (Shane the dog)

This past week my parents were up! Mom helped can peaches on Monday, then the week was packed with just plain old fun! Homemade bubbles, a trip to the pool, visiting the farm, puddle jumping, and quality time!

And this is how my hubby usually is kept busy while I work on supper! The children love it and he seems to enjoy it too!

HAVE A GOOD WEEK TRYING TO SLOW DOWN THE BUSY-NESS, SO YOU CAN ENJOY THE CREATOR OF EVERYTHING!

Work and Play

MORE CORN! All in all we did 37 dozen ears of corn up for the winter.

This was Monday! We did 17 dozen. Some for us, some for my family, some for Lowell’s brother!

This is what the boys did while we finished and cleaned up!

This is Jairus’ first time eating corn on the cob! For him he thinks is great to keep it on the table and chew it!

The other night we took a walk to go feed some ducks! Titus got brave with this “oh so friendly duck”! And Jairus just loved throwing the bread!

Charity is making miles too! This is her first venture in the “round-round”! She loves it!

And she has found a new friend and love! This teddy bear is from Pops! During this muggy hot week it has been far better for her and comforting to her then the fuzzy blanket that accompanied this bear! Isn’t she just irresistable!

Lately…

Lately we’ve been busy! It is that time of year again, time to harvest and can and freeze and harvest and can and freeze! It is exhausting work now but we really enjoy it in the winter! This is what we have been up to lately!
