An Update…

 No it’s not an update on our nursery project. Right now we are just doing the tedious touch up painting, so hopefully we will soon be able to post pictures of the border..

Right now though… It’s time for 11 month pictures….these are the two good ones out of 24 or so taken

And some random fun pictures… these are some of the not so good ones…

And what would an entry be without something weird? This is one of the most amazing creatures God created. (in my opinion). This is the second time we have had one close to our house. The web is very distinct and easy to identify by the zig-zag…She is also very easy to spot being that she is about as long in the body as my thumb and bright yellow…The cool part is…If you throw a bug into her web, she will quickly move in and spin it up in a matter of seconds…Hence why I think she’s cool…she kills icky bugs…

So I too have succombed to being tagged…Sigh…. Welp…here it goes….

1-I had 5 surgeries on my right leg in four years all for different reasons (and praise God it’s been two years since then )

2- I hate being the recipient of surprises (but love the end result).

3-While I was in high school I collected aliens and cows. Which led to my first email adress being alienatedcowz…

4-I am a pack rat married to a pack rat (but my hearts desire it to be organized).

5-My hair color has been burgundy, red, blonde, chestnut, and green. And it used to be shorter then my husbands.

6-I love to cook with onions.

7-I have a spastic allergy to chocolate.

8- I absolutely love animals; Dairy, Beef and Horses being my favorites though….

Nursery Project 3

Well, Thursday night we put the first coat of blue on and I touched up the unreachable spots (by roller that is) with orange. We also thought we would try painting the trim to match the wall…. well…

 

Saturday that orange trim got another coat of Kilz, and baby teal… The color we decided to paint the doors and trim are that of our master bedroom. It looks awesome….

And of course, we needed Titus’ opinion on it (afterall it will be his room (to share) ) The baby teal offsets the bright just enough… I can’t wait to get the boarder up. We still have second coats to do but you get the idea. Next Nursery post should be the last.

So we finished up with the Kilz… yeah…. ugly paneling and ugly brown trim…. bye-bye

First coat of orange…wow…it’s nice and bright and sunshiney….

So hopefully this weekend we can finish up with the orange (trim & second coat). And next week work on the blue, before our border comes in….

I am so excited….

Nursery Project 1

So we finally decided Titus’ room was too dark and that it should be brightened up before Baby #2 arrives.

Don’t you agree…

So…Saturday was spent putting Kilz over that dark paneling….huge difference already, huh?

And here are the two colors we picked to do the room in and the border…whatcha think???

Summer Fun, Friends, & Cousins…

Saturday we took Titus and my nephew Timmy for a walk to see the neighborhood farms. Titus got introduced to this very friendly and lovable donkey…

Monday evening was time to experience the sandbox for the first time…He loved it…

Tuesday night was our turn to babysit for our friends…They had a blast playing outside together…They were all well behaved and incredibly cute.

Then yesterday we went to the pool again…perfect weather…Titus got braver and was walking around in a inner tube that had a seat in it… (not pictured)…he also enjoyed playing with the noodles and his cousins.

And for those who don’t know this is what Refreshing Mountain’s wading pool looks like. Rosana and Isaiah are in the middle playing and Rhoda, Titus and I are in the corner…It is the perfect pool for children…I see more trips as our family gets bingger.
